Gujarat on Tuesday recorded 1108 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
This is the second time that the number of per day cases in Gujarat has crossed the 1100 mark.
The overall number of COVID-19 cases have now crossed the 57,000 mark.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state now stands at 57,974.
The state has recorded over 1000 cases six times, over 900 cases eight times and over 800 cases for four consecutive days.
It has recorded more than 700 cases in a day five times so far.
Death due to corona in Gujarat
Gujarat recorded 24 new deaths due to the disease on Tuesday.
Of the total deaths, 12 were recorded in Surat, four in Ahmedabad while Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Rajkot recorded two deaths each.
Vadodara and Gandhinagar also saw one death each.

With this, the total number of deaths in the state stands at 2,372.
The COVID-19 death toll is 1584 for Ahmedabad, 385 for Surat, 73 for Vadodara and 42 for Gandhinagar.
Surat recorded 293 new cases, while Ahmedabad had 156 cases.
Of the total cases recorded in Ahmedabad and Surat, 199 and 147 cases respectively were recorded within the city limits.
Vadodara recorded 91 new cases while state capital Gandhinagar had 44 new cases.
Corona related other statistics
The state has in all recorded 13198 active cases of which 87 are on a ventilator.
Gujarat ranks eleventh in new cases of COVID-19 being recorded across the country.
It ranks ninth in the number of active COVID-19 patients in India.
The state has conducted over 6.90 lakh sample tests for the disease while 4.72 lakh people remain in quarantine in various districts of Gujarat.
Of this, 4.70 lakh people are under home quarantine. The state said it is carrying out 342.27 tests per million.
