Covid-19: India records 2,710 new cases, 14 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: A total of 2,710 persons in the country tested positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday morning.

Fourteen patients succumbed to the infection during this period.

The daily positivity rate was 0.58 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.52 per cent.

Around 4.65 lakh samples were tested for Covid-19 in the country in last 24 hours, taking the cumulative testing figure to over 84.88 crore.

 

98.75% recovery

A total of 2,296 patients recovered from Covid in last 24 hours. Over 4.26 crore recoveries have been recorded till now, a rate of 98.75 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 15,814, or 0.04 per cent of total case tally.

 

14.41 lakh vaccinated on Thursday

Around 14.41 lakh individuals received the Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday. So far, over 1.92 billion (192.97 crore) doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
