Covid-19: India records 2,685 new cases, 33 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: The country recorded 2,685 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday morning.

A total of 33 patients   succumbed to the infection during this period.

The daily positivity rate was 0.6 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.54 per cent.

Around 4.47 lakh samples were tested for Covid in last 24 hours, taking the cumulative testing figure to over 84.93 crore.

 

98.75% recovery

A total of 2,158 individuals recovered from Covid-19 in last 24 hours. The cumulative recovery is over 4.26 crore, which is a rate of 98.75 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 16,308, or 0.04 per cent of the cases recorded till now.

 

1.93 billion vaccine doses administered till now

Around 14.39 lakh individuals received the Covid-19 vaccine in last 24 hours. With this, the number of doses administered under the nationwide campaign has crossed 1.93 billion (193.13 crore).
