Covid-19: India records 2,323 new cases, 25 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: A total of 2,323 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hours, the Union health ministry said on Saturday morning. A total of 25 patients succumbed to the infection during this period.

The daily positivity rate was 0.47 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.51 per cent.

Around 4.99 lakh samples were tested for Covid in the country on Friday, taking the cumulative testing to over 84.63 crore.

 

98.75% recovery

A total of 2,346 patients recovered from Covid-19 on Friday. More than 4.25 crore recoveries had been recorded till now, a recovery rate of 98.75 per cent.

The active caseload has declined to 14,996, accounting for 0.03 per cent of the total case tally.

 

15.32 lakh vaccinated

Around 15.32 lakh individuals received the Covid1-9 vaccine in the country on Friday. So far, over 1.92 billion (192.12 crore) doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
