Covid-19: India records 21,411 new cases, 67 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi: The country recorded 21,411 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday morning. This is marginally lower than 21,880 cases the previous day.

As many as 67 patients succumbed to the infection during this period.

Around 4.8 lakh samples were tested for Covid-19 on Friday, taking the cumulative testing figure to over 87.2 crore.

 

98.46% recovery

A total of 20,726 patients recovered from Covid in last 24 hours. So far, over 4.31 crore recoveries have been registered, which is 98.46 per cent of the total case tally.

The active caseload has crossed 1.5 lakh, accounting for 0.34 per cent of the cases recorded till now.

 

34.93 lakh vaccinated

Around 34.93 lakh persons received the Covid-19 vaccine in the country in last 24 hours. With this, the total number of vaccine doses administered in the country till now has crossed 201.68 crore.
