- 166 more patients succumb to Covid-19
New Delhi: The daily rise in Covid-19 cases in India dropped to the lowest in 230 days, the health ministry said on Monday morning. In last 24 hours, the country recorded 13,596 fresh cases of infection, according to the ministry.
A total of 166 patients succumbed to the infection during this period.
The active caseload in the country is 1,89,694, which is 0.56 per cent of the total cases. This is also the lowest in 221 days.
Both the daily and weekly positivity rate are 1.37 per cent.
A total of 19,582 patients recovered from Covid-19 in last 24 hours, taking the overall recovery to 3,34,39,331. This is 98.12 per cent of the total cases.
More than 59.19 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19 till now.
India’s vaccination coverage crosses 97.79 crore
Over 12.05 lakh doses of Covid vaccine were administered in last 24 hours. The cumulative vaccination coverage in the country now exceeds 97.79 crore.
10 new cases in Gujarat
Gujarat reported 10 new cases in 24 hours ending Sunday evening. Sixteen patients recovered during this period. The recovery rate in the state is 98.75 per cent.
Over 1.11 lakh Covid vaccine doses were administered in the state on Sunday.
