Covid-19: Gujarat reports 30 new cases in 24 hours


Gandhinagar: Gujarat reported 30 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours ending Sunday evening, the state health department said in its Covid-19 bulletin. No death was reported during the day.

The state has so far reported 8,24,713 cases of Covid-19. The death toll remains at 10,076.

Meanwhile, the vaccination figures that been on the decline for past two days rose to 3.22 lakh.

The state currently has 330 active cases, of which 5 are on ventilator and 325 are stable.


Dahod, Surat at top of the list

Surat and Dahod recorded 6 new cases of Covid-19. In Surat, the city and rural parts reported 3 cases each. Ahmedabad city reported 5 cases, Vadodara city and rural had 2 cases each. Junagadh city and rural as well as Gandhinagar and Rajkot cities reported 1 case each.

Amreli, Anand, Bharuch, Dangs and Mehsana reported 1 case each.

No new case was recorded in other districts.


42 patients discharged on Sunday

As many as 42 patients were discharged during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 8,14,307. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.

3.22 lakh vaccinated in 24 hours

After two days of consistent and significant decline in daily vaccination figures, the health department stated that 3,22,664 persons had received the Covid-19 vaccine in 24 hours.

With this, the overall vaccination figure in the state has crossed 3.16 crore.
