Covid-19: Gujarat reports 21 cases in 24 hours, all in 6 districts

  • Over 5 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered on Tuesday

Gandhinagar: Gujarat reported 21 fresh cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours ending Tuesday evening, as per the bulletin issued by the state health department. No death was reported during this period.

The active caseload of Covid-19 in the state is 206, of which 4 patients are on ventilator, while the remaining 202 are in a stable condition.


Cases concentrated in 6 districts

The 21 cases that were reported on Tuesday are all distributed across 6 districts of the state. Ahmedabad city reported 7 cases, Surat city had 5 and rural had 2. Rajkot rural and city reported 2 and 1 cases respectively, Vadodara city had 2 cases, Jamnagar city and Kheda reported 1 case each.

No case was reported from any other district.


Recovery rate at 98.75%

As many as 24 patients recovered from Covid-19 on Tuesday. The overall recovery is 8,13,802, which is 98.75 per cent of the total cases.


5 lakh vaccinated on Tuesday

Gujarat has been able to keep up the high number of vaccination for past few days. On Tuesday, more than 5 lakh persons  received the jab, taking the overall vaccination figure to 3.76 crore.
