Covid-19: Gujarat reports 13 new cases in 24 hours


Gandhinagar: Gujarat reported 13 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, as per the bulletin issued by the state health department. No death was reported during this period.

There are 143 active cases of Covid-19 in the state at present.

The death toll stands at 10,082.

Of these, 3 are on ventilator, while 140 are stable.


No new case in Ahmedabad

Kutch and Surat city reported 3 cases each, while Vadodara city reported 2. Anand, Bhavnagar city, Gir Somnath and Rajkot rural reported 1 case each. There were no new cases in the entire Ahmedabad district.


98.76% recovery

Twenty-four patients recovered during the day. So far, a total of 8,15,490 patients have recovered from the infection. The overall recovery rate in the state is 98.76 per cent.


4.81 lakh vaccinated on Saturday

Over 5.65 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Gujarat so far. Of these, 4.81 lakh were given on Saturday.

On Friday, which was also the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a record 23.67 lakh doses were administered across the state.

In a bid to boost its mega vaccination drive, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation said that September 20 onwards, those who had not taken a single dose of the vaccine as well as those who had not taken the second dose despite being eligible would not be allowed access to its facilities like municipal gyms, zoo, AMTS and BRTS, etc.
