Couple held for Rs24 lakh online fraud took family’s help to execute crime

The Cyber Crime Cell of the Ahmedabad Police nabbed five people including a couple in connection with a cheating case of Rs24 lakh in which the money was taken through online fraud.  A team of the Cyber Cell arrested Suresh Shah, his brother Mukesh, one Kadash Shah, her sister Vishakha and mother Monaben.

Kadash and Suresh are in relation and live in Neelkanth Elegance. They were arrested for online fraud of Rs24 lakh. Cops have also seized a Hyundai car worth Rs9 lakh from the couple.

Police investigations revealed that Kadash worked as an accountant with Rolex Machinery Private Limited, a firm located at CTM crossroads and owned by one Kirit Kullbariya.

How the crime was executed

When Mukesh realised it he hatched a plan to cheat the company through online fraud. He then advised Suresh to convince Kadash to execute the fraud.

Kadash then made fake online entries of the company in the account books and cheated them of Rs24,72,786. She transferred the Rs24 lakh into the account of her mother Monaben, her sister Vishakha and lover Suresh.

The couple used Rs9 lakh of the stolen Rs24 lakh to buy a Hyundai car. The company on realising the fraud filed a complaint with the cyber cell. Suresh was arrested three days ago. The role of his lover Kadash and their family emerged during interrogation.

Suresh earlier ran a garment business near Mahavir Complex but the business was shut down for some time. Suresh also has a case registered against him with the Karanj Police station and he has been absconding in that case too.
