The death toll due to the novel coronavirus has reached 507 in India while the active cases tally rose to over 12,900, showed the latest data by the Ministry of Health early Sunday. The confirmed cases tally in the country has now crossed the 15,000-mark, with 15,712 cases reported till 8 am on Sunday.
According to the Health Ministry, there are a total of 12,969 active COVID-19 cases in the country so far and 2,230 patients are reported to be cured and discharged.

Forty-four fresh cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Rajasthan on Sunday morning, while in Agra 45 more cases were recorded. In Lucknow, 43 more people tested positive for the virus, a report by King George’s Medical University (KGMU) said.
Meanwhile, in Faridabad, eight fresh cases emerged on Sunday, taking the total cases tally here to 41. Out of these 41, 18 have been cured and discharged.
India saw the highest single-day spike in the number of COVID-19 cases on Saturday with over 2,000 cases.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as of 9 pm on Saturday, India reported a total of 2,154 new COVID-19 cases. In Delhi, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital climbed to over 1,890, with 186 fresh cases and one death being reported in a day.
