Corona Virus Havoc in China, Death Toll Crosses 2000


The epidemic of Corona is spreading day by day in China. The situation has reach up to that extent that due to the death of 136 more people, the number of people who died due to infection has crossed 2000 on Wednesday and a total of 74,185 cases have been confirmed yet of corona virus. The National Health Commission (NHC) said that the death toll has increased to 2,004.

132 deaths in Hubei

NHC said that out of 136 people lost their lives, 132 are from Hubei alone where corona virus has the highest effect. At the same time, one person each died in Heilongjiang, Shandong, Guangdong and Guizhou. At the same time, 1749 new cases have been reported. The Commission said that 1185 new suspected cases have been reported. On Tuesday, 236 patients were in critical condition, while 1,824 people were discharged from the hospital.

Nearly 12000 people are in critical condition

According to the news of Chinese news agency ‘Xinhua’, the commission has said that the condition of 11,977 patients are critical and 5,248 people are feared to be suffering from it. The NHC said that so far a total of 14,376 infected people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

Death of director

Dr. Liu Zhiming, director of Wuchang Hospital in Wuhan died of the corona virus on Tuesday. On Friday, the NHC said that a total of 1,716 medical personnel were confirmed to have corona virus. By 11 February, six medical personnel engaged in the treatment of patients had lost their lives.

Relief aircraft will be sent to India

India will send a consignment of medical supplies from a relief aircraft to Wuhan this weekend to help China deal with the deadly corona virus and also help the Indians living there. Hundreds of Indian citizens have been evacuated from China so far. Earlier, China had paid tribute to offer India’s help to deal with the corona virus.
