Corona threat on rise, 2 days mock drill in hospitals across India, health ministers to take responsibility

Mock drills have been organized across the country on April 10 and 11 to assess the preparedness of hospitals amid rising cases of Corona. It is likely to include both government and private health centres.

Union Health Minister to stay at AIIMS Jhajjar

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will inspect the mock drill at Jhajjar AIIMS on April 10, officials said. Earlier, Mansukh Mandaviya also held a review meeting with the health ministers of all states and union territories on April 7.

Instructions to maintain stock of medicines

After the review meeting, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya requested the state health ministers to visit the hospital and overlook the mock drill. The Union Minister also advised them to review the preparations with the district administration and health officials on April 8 and 9. Mandaviya directed states to be vigilant, increase testing and genome sequencing, keep hospitals ready and maintain proper stocks of medicines.
