Congress Sonia Gandhi Read Preamble of Constitution at ‘Satyagraha’ Against CAA-NRC in Rajghat


In the midst of the protests across the country against the Citizenship Amendment Act,the top Congress leadership, led by party chief Sonia Gandhi, sat on a “Satyagraha for unity” at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial Rajghat. This strike was started with Vande Mataram. After that the Preamble of the Constitution was read. Earlier, Rahul and Priyanka had tweeted and appealed to people to participate in a large number.

Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi are present at Rajghat. They are accompanied by many prominent leaders including former PM Manmohan Singh, Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ahmed Patel, Anand Sharma.

Ashok Gehlot said that democracy is in danger due to citizenship Act. PM Modi is misleading about this. He said that the agenda of the Center is the agenda of RSS they want to divide the country. Meanwhile, we are ready to compete with them. The whole country is ready to fight them. Also, the CM of Rajasthan said that citizenship Act will not be implemented in our state. After this, Ashok Gehlot read the Preamble of the Constitution.

Sonia Gandhi read the Preamble of the Constitution at Rajghat. After that former PM Manmohan Singh and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also read the Preamble. Significantly, these days protests are being held in the whole country regarding CAA and NRC. Where the opposition is considering it as Anti-constitution. At the same time, the protesters are demanding to take it back the Act as it is disturbing the people of the country.
