Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday attacked the government over the state of the economy, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman have no idea what to do next for the Budget 2020-2021. Rahul said that there is nothing in the budget for employment and there is no solution to unemployment. He also said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman went astray during the budget.
Rahul Gandhi said that the main issue is unemployment. I did not see any strategic idea that would provide employment to our youth. I saw strategic things but there was no central idea. He said on Budget that, “The main issue facing is unemployment. I didn’t see any strategic idea that would help our youth get jobs. I saw tactical stuff but no central idea. It describes govt well, lot of repetition,rambling-it is mindset of govt, all talk, but nothing happening.”
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the year 2020-21 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. During this, Sitharaman gave a very long speech. She stood up and read the budget speech and continued to read the speech for two hours and 43 minutes. Even after reading the speech for more than two and a half hours continuously she said that her speech is not completed yet.
