CM Vijay Rupani gets birthday wishes from PM Modi, Amit Shah


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah were among the thousands of people who greeted Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on his birthday. Vijay Rupani on Sunday turned 64.

PM’s Modi’s message

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter to greet the sexagenarian on his birthday. The PM tweeted: “Best wishes to CM of Gujarat, Shri @vijayrupanibjp on his birthday. He has been making an effective contribution to Gujarat’s progress. Praying for his long and healthy life.”

Vijay Rupani also responded to the PM’s message. He said PM Modi has always been a guiding force in doing something better. Rupani tweeted: “Thank you very much Honourable Prime Minister for your kind words. Your blessings have always been guiding force to do something better. Grateful for your kind wishes. Regards.”

Union home minister Amit Shah greets CM

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah also greeted CM Rupani on his birthday. He said Gujarat is doing progress under the leadership of Rupani. Amit Shah said he would pray to God for a long and healthy life of the chief minister.

The CM also reciprocated to the Union home minister’s wishes. He said Shah’s good wishes always encourage him to work for people.

Congratulatory messages from chief ministers

Apart from the Modi-Shah duo, Rupani was also greeted by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He was also congratulated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also wished Rupani on the occasion.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and  Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prema Khandu also congratulated CM Rupani. This apart, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur also wished him on his birthday.

Notably, Rupani is serving as the chief minister of Gujarat since August 7, 2016, and represents the Rajkot West Assembly constituency.
