A day after Congress MLA from Jamalpur Khadia, Imran Khedawala, tested positive for coronavirus, two doctors—RK Patel and Atul Patel—on Wednesday carried out the health check-up of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The chief minister is doing fine and all his health parameters were found normal.
Notably, the MLA had attended a meeting with Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, and Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja on Tuesday afternoon on ways to curb the spread of COVID-19 in walled city areas of Ahmedabad that have emerged as hotspots for the deadly virus. A few hours later Khedawala’s test report arrived which indicated that he had contracted the deadly virus.
Secretary to the chief minister Ashwani Kumar said Rupani will continue to render his responsibilities using technology and no visitors will be allowed in the chief minister’s residence for the next seven days.
Notably, several attendees of Tuesday’s meeting were not wearing any mask.
