Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel launched a statewide BJP campaign to clean the surroundings of major places of pilgrimage in the state today. CM Bhupendra Patel Saturday cleaned the ground of the historic Karan Sinhji High School and a city road leading to the Balaji Hanuman temple on the Bhupendra Road in Rajkot.

CM Patel then greeted the sanitation workers of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation on the ground of the high school. CM Patel then led the sanitation workers in cleaning the school ground and the road outside the temple.
After arrival at Balaji Hanuman temple CM Patel performed aarti. Later, the priests of the Swaminarayan sect gave him a warm welcome. He was accompanied by Water Resources Minister Kunvarji Bavalia, Rajkot Mayor Pradip Dav, Rajkot district panchayat president Bhupat Bodar and local MLAs and leaders of the party.
Meanwhile, Gujarat BJP president, C R Patil, joined the drive from Surat while a host of ministers and elected members of BJP also led similar drives at 22 other religious places in the state. In all, the party said the leaders swept and cleaned the approach roads and areas surrounding 24 major religious places in Gujarat.
