New Delhi: It’s the season of rejigs. Days after the Cabinet reshuffle in the second innings of the Narendra Modi government, now it is time for changes in the Cabinet Committees.
Women and Child Development minister Smriti Irani, Environment and Labour minister Bhupender Yadav, Ports minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Rural Development minister Giriraj Singh are now on the all-important Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA), which is led by PM Modi himself.
Law and Justice minister Kiren Rijiju and I&B minister Anurag Thakur have been included in the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.
Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, MSME minister Narayan Rane and Railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw are on the Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth.
Vaishnaw and Bhupender Yadav are also on the Cabinet Committee on Employment and Skill Development.
Of the eight committees, six are headed by PM Modi and two by Home Minister Amit Shah.
The PM heads the committees for Appointments, Economic Affairs, Political Affairs, Security, Investment and Growth and Skill and Development.
