CAA Protest: Bhim Army Chief Leads Demonstration at Jama Masjid

Demonstrations are continuing in different states of the country including the capital Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act. There is a possibility of a big protest in Delhi again today, amid the boast over the citizenship Act on Thursday.Early morning visuals from Delhi’s iconic Jama Masjid from where a protest march will proceed towards Jantar Mantar at 2pm today in protest of the new Citizenship Act. The march is being organised by the Bhim Army.

Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad has said he is on his way to Jama Masjid from where a protest march will proceed towards Jantar Mantar. The police has denied permission for the protest. It is being told that even today, people will gather at India Gate, Jamia Milia Islamia and other areas of Delhi to protest against the citizenship Act throughout the day.

Since last week, protesters have been protesting against the citizenship Act in the country. Today there is Friday so the police is apprehending that due to Namaz people will come out of the houses and may join the demonstration.

It may be noted that for the last few days, protests have been going on in the whole country against CAA and NRC. And the Central Government is being demanded to withdraw this Act. At the same time, the opposition is calling this Act as Anti-constitutional.
