While the opposition is trying to corner the government against the Citizenship Amendment Act, the common man is also creating a ruckus on the road demanding the withdrawal of this Act. In the protests against this law, many people have lost their lives so far, now the BJP leaders are raising questions on the citizenship Act.

Chandra Kumar Bose, West Bengal BJP vice-president and a follower of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, questioned the Citizenship Amendment Act and had wrote on his twitter, “If #CAA2019 is not related to any religion why are we stating – Hindu,Sikh,Boudha, Christians, Parsis & Jains only! Why not include #Muslims as well? Let’s be transparent..”

In another tweet, he wrote, “Don’t equate India or compare it with any other nation- as it’s a nation Open to all religions and communities.” Voices against this Act have come out of BJP, when BJP Awareness campaign is being conducted on social media on a large scale on this Act.

At a rally in Kolkata in support of this Act, BJP National Executive President JP Nadda on Monday alleged that the Trinamool Congress is misleading people on the CAA. He claimed that CM Mamata Banerjee has always given priority to politics over national interests. Nadda was addressing a rally organized to “thank” the Modi government on the new Citizenship Act, although he avoided the issue of nationwide NRC while he was advocating it a few days ago.
