BSF nabs lovelorn youth on way to meet girlfriend from India-Pakistan border in Kutch

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday apprehended a youth along the India-Pakistan border in Kutch.

The youth was on his way to meet a girl in Karachi, Pakistan whom he had met on Facebook and had fallen in love with.

A release from the BSF said that they apprehended one Siddhiqui Zishan just 1.5 km short of the India-Pakistan Border in Kutch.

The 20-year-old originally belonged to Maharashtra and a missing person complaint was registered by his parents. The cops had traced his mobile in and around Dholavira in Gujarat.

A search was carried out and the BSF found an abandoned vehicle that the youth had used to travel from his hometown to Kutch. He was later traced and an Aadhar card, PAN card, and a UCO Bank passbook were found on him.

He told the officials that he lost consciousness for two hours. He was found in a dehydrated state

The youth said he was trying to cross over to Pakistan with the help of google maps to meet his girlfriend Shamra from Shah Faisal town in Karachi, Pakistan. The youth had met the girl on Facebook and had fallen in love with her.

Police are further investigating the case.
