The Gujarat government on Saturday appointed Sandip Sangle as the new Ahmedabad collector. Sangle was earlier the Banaskantha collector and has also served as the Bharuch Collector.
The 2007 batch officer replaces incumbent KK Nirala, who has been moved to the home department as additional secretary.
In all, the state on Saturday transferred five IAS officers.
Nirala was appointed as the Ahmedabad Collector in November 2019 replacing the then incumbent Vikrant Pandey.
Pandey had at that time been moved to Central deputation and appointed as director in the interstate council secretariat in News Delhi.
Nirala had earlier served as Member Secretary Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
Anand Collector Babulal Patel is the new Banaskantha collector while director, Directorate of Employment and Training, Supreet Singh Gulati is the news Patan Collector.
Alok Kumar Pandey who was on inter-cadre deputation with the UP government is now the new director of Directorate of Employment and Training.
