The BJP, despite its best efforts to woo the voters in the West Bengal Assembly elections, has failed to combat the counter-narrative of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party the Trinamool Congress.

While the TMC has secured victory in 135 seats and is leading in 77 seats out of the 292 seats, BJP’s lead is limited to 78 seats, which includes 37 victories and 41 other seats where the saffron party is leading.

On the other hand, the BJP alliance is all set to once again win Assam and is leading in 78 seats as against the Congress alliance that is leading in 46 seats. In Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK alliance is leading in 85 seats, the DMK alliance is leading in 148 seats.

In Kerala, the LDF is leading in 99 seats, whereas the Congress alliance is leading in 41 seats. BJP has failed to win any seat in the southern state. In Puducherry, the BJP alliance is leading in 15 seats and the Congress alliance is leading in nine seats.
