Many people died in Uttar Pradesh due to the violent protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. One of the districts where there was maximum protest against the CAA in Bijnor. The Uttar Pradesh minister also came to meet the people affected by the violence.

After meeting Omraj Saini’s family, Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal was asked at a press conference in Bijnor. The government says, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, but you went to Omraj Saini’s house. But the other two people have also died, why you don’t go to their homes on the way, how will ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’?

Omraj’s family claims that he was not part of any mob, and while returning from the fields, he succumbed to a bullet that was allegedly fired by a molester with an illegal weapon.

Those killed in the violence in the same town on Friday included 22-year-old Anas who used to earn money for his family through a coffee wending machine and had just recently gotten married. After the initial denial, the police finally confessed that Suleman was killed by a police bullet, and he was involved in the alleged rioters who opened fire on a cop with indigenous firearms, and then in self-defense fired by the police. But Suleman’s family has denied the allegation, saying that Suleman who was studying for the UPSC and used to take tuition had nothing to do with the protests.
