BJP and Shiv Sena meet Maharashtra Governor for ‘equal sharing of power’

Mumbai:The Shiv Sena and Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP) met the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari separately at Raj Bhavan, amid speculations that the meet would be regarding the formation of the government in the state.

After the Maharashtra Assembly election results,it is now time to submit a claim to form a government. The information is also coming that the Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena leader Divakar Raut have already met the governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari  separately but this visit is named as a formal visit to greet Diwali.

The meaning of this meeting is been taken away because on one hand, the BJP can claim to form the government with the support of independents and on the other hand Shiv Sena will also try to get support of legislators.

Shiv Sena had placed a demand before the BJP for the assembly elections, saying that it would contest equal seats in Maharashtra. However, BJP rejected Shiv Sena’s demand and gave 124 seats to Shiv Sena. At that time Shiv Sena came in the back foot and accepted the agreement, but now the election result have work to Shiv Sena  and now they are coming on the front foot and reminding the BJP of 50-50. Shiv Sena said that both parties in Maharashtra should get the opportunities to run the government for two and half years.

Pawar unload Shiv Sena’s power

Now the Shiv Sena is sitting in front of BJP , The NCP President Sharad Pawar has taken a step and made it clear that he would sit in opposition as the people had given him the orders to sit but this could create trouble for the Shiv Sena.
