Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Ahmedabad airport on Monday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Gujarat’s new chief minister, Bhupendra Patel. Shah was received by the latter at the airport.
The Union minister had earlier congratulated Bhupendra Patel on being selected for the top post in the state. The latter will be the 17th CM of Gujarat.
Earlier in the day, Bhupendra Patel met Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel at his residence in Ahmedabad and outgoing Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at his official residence in Gandhinagar.
The CM-designate also met authorities at SGVP.
He will be administered the oath at 2.20 pm on Monday. He will be the only one to take oath at the ceremony. Details of the rest of the Cabinet will be announced later after discussions.
