BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has quarantined himself at his home after his older brother Snehasish tested positive for COVID-19.
A news agency quoted a source as saying that the tests report arrived on Wednesday evening.
Avishek Dalmiya, president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) was also quarantined after he came in contact with Snehasish.
Snehasish Ganguly is the general secretary of CAB.
Media reports said Snehasish Ganguly, 55, has been admitted to a city hospital as he was suffering from fever for the last few days.
Earlier there were rumours in June of the senior Ganguly falling ill with COVID-19 but at that time he had clarified that he had not tested positive but his wife and in-laws had.
Snehasish had shifted to their ancestral house, where Sourav is based, in Behala after his wife and in-laws at his Mominpur residence tested positive.
