Ayodhya Verdict: AIMPL to file review


All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPL) has decided to file a review plea against the Supreme court decision of building the temple on the Ayodhya land in the first week of December.

The Board Secretary and senior Judge Zafaryaab Jeelani said that the Sunni Waqf board’s stand is not unanimous. He also said that all Muslim organizations have an opinion on filing a review petition.

The Supreme Court, in its verdict in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title case on November 9, said the entire 2.77 acres of disputed land should be handed over to the deity Ram Lalla. While giving the decision to give five acres of land for the mosque at some other place.As well, the board did not discuss whether or not it would accept the Supreme Court’s award of a different, five-acre plot of land in Ayodhya.
