The class 10 board results announced on Tuesday saw the overall pass percentage plummeting to 60.64% from the earlier 66.97% in the year 2019. In all , 7,92,942 students appeared for the class 10 board exams of which 4,80,845 managed to clear the exams. Girls had a better pass percentage than boys once again. 66.02% of the girls who appeared for the exams managed to clear it against just 56.53% for boys.
Surat district had the highest pass percentage at 74.66% while the lowest was for Dahod which was 47.47%. The centre that recorded the highest percentage was Supreda in Banaskantha at 94. 78% while the lowest was recorded in Ruvabari centre in Dahod at 14.09%.
In Ahmedabad, the city recorded a pass percentage of 65.51% while Ahmedabad rural recorded 66.07%.
Across the state 291 schools managed to get a 100% pass percentage while 1,839 schools got a mere 30% pass percentage. 174 schools could not get even one of their class 10 students to clear the boards.
The number of students who got an A1 grade (marks between 91-100) stood at 1,617 while 23,754 students got A2 (marks between 81-90) grade.
13,977 students have scored the D grade (marks between 33-40) while six students got the E1 (marks between 21-32) grade.
