Anar Mehta from Ahmedabad to lead WICCI NRI’s national council as prez


USA-born Anar Mehta, who is also the founder of Srishtibharat Foundation, an NGO that works in the field of women empowerment, will be heading the WICCI NRI’s national council.

WICCI stands for the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

While speaking at a digital launch of the NRI National Council, Mehta, who was appointed as WICCI NRI’s national council president on September 20 said there was a need to inspire, connect and empower women to change their world.

Mehta during her speech also highlighted the various efforts put in by the Narendra Modi-led Central government in empowering women and the schemes that the state has come out with to benefit them.

Mehta reminded the attendees of Michelle Obama’s golden words “There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish.”

The digital launch saw women from across the globe taking part to come together to collaborate and synergize 

“Women should empower each other. I want people to say that because of you I didn’t give up,” Mehta said.

Dr. Ruby Bakshi, chief guest at the event and Global Goodwill Ambassador said one should believe in oneself to aim higher and that women should not be afraid of anything.

Anjana Patel, vice-president, spoke about women in politics and gender equality and how women should take an interest and excel in politics.
