Ahmedabad: The wait of Amdavadis for the opening of the newly built Sola highway will end on Monday. Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the elevated corridor from Sola to Gota on SG Road.
The corridor is part of Sarkhej-Gandhinagar-Chiloda National Highway number 147 and falls in Amit Shah’s Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Once open, the elevated corridor will ease traffic snarls on SG Road, thus reducing the time taken to travel from Sarkhej to Gandhinagar.
At a length of 4.18 km, the six-lane stretch has been built at a cost of several crores of rupees and will be Ahmedabad’s longest elevated corridor.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be present at the event.
