- Over 1000 people were tested, 22 test positive. Most are from Vadodara
The health team of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has tested over 1000 passengers who came to Ahmedabad through the State Transport bus service. Media reports said the civic body had begun testing people at the Gita Mandir, Ranip and Krushnanagar ST Bus Stand from Monday onwards as many passengers were coming from districts that were seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases following Unlock 1.0 and 2.0. Of the total tests that were done, reports said 22 passengers tested positive. Media reports said that most of those who tested positive were from Vadodara.
The civic body has put all those who tested positive under home quarantine. Earlier the civic body had begun rapid testing of COVID-19 for those travelling from Surat to Ahmedabad via the Expressway. Rapid testing was done at the toll booth near Expressway by a team of health officials and cops. It had tested close to 100 people Monday.
