After Amit Shah, Amarinder Singh meets NSA Ajit Doval

New Delhi: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s movements in Delhi continue to keep the suspense around his intentions alive. A day after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Amarinder Singh met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Thursday morning.

This is his first visit to Delhi after quitting from the CM’s post.

Amarinder Singh arrived in the national capital on Wednesday, triggering rumours of a possible switch to BJP. However, those close to him rubbished the rumours saying he was on a personal visit and to vacate the Kapurthala house for the next CM.

In a video, Amarinder Singh was seen bidding goodbye to the security guards who had guarded him at Kapurthala House.

After meeting Amit Shah, he had posted a tweet, saying, “Met Union Home Minister @AmitShah ji in Delhi. Discussed the prolonged farmers agitation against #FarmLaws & urged him to resolve the crisis urgently with repeal of the laws & guarantee MSP, besides supporting Punjab in crop diversification. #NoFarmersNoFood.”

Amarinder Singh had resigned as Punjab Chief Minister citing humiliation. Barely 10 days later, Punjab Congress president Navjyot Singh Sidhu, too, stepped down from his post. This led to murmurs that Sidhu’s objective was to have Singh removed from the top post.
