The Allahabad High Court has given a severe blow to Abdullah Azam, son of Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan. The High Court has canceled the election of Abdullah Azam on Monday and found him guilty of contesting elections by giving fake documents. The court said that Abdullah Azam was not 25 years old during the election.
The High Court has canceled the election of Abdullah Azam from Rampur Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. Abdullah Azam was elected MLA from Swar seat. In the year 2017, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Nawab Kazim Ali filed an election petition.
In 2017 assembly elections, where the BJP was swept all over UP. Abdullah Azam managed to win his seats. He defeated BJP candidate Lakshmi Saini by more than 50 thousand votes, while Nawab Kazim Ali of BSP stood third.
The complaint also claimed that the second certificate was made from Lucknow Municipal Corporation on January 21, 2015, based on the duplicate birth certificate of Queen Mary Hospital Has been released on. It shows the birthplace of Abdullah in Lucknow. However, amidst all these complaints the allegations of BSP leader Nawab Kazim were heard in the court and on Monday the Allahabad High Court pronounced judgment against Abdullah Azam Canceled.
