Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally defeated coronavirus and has been discharged from Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. Along with Aishwarya, her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya has also been discharged.
Both have tested negative after a 10-day stay in the hospital. Notably, they were earlier quarantined at home. However, eventually, they were shifted to the hospital after developing symptoms of coronavirus.
While the duo has been discharged, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan will stay in hospital and continue their treatment. Both were admitted to the hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.
Abhishek Bachchan tweets about the development
The news about Aishwarya and Aaradhya testing negative for COVID-19 and getting a discharge from hospital was tweeted by Abhishek Bachchan.
The junior Bachchan tweeted: “Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”
Aishwarya, 46, tested positive for the virus a day after Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were found COVID-19 positive.
She was kept in isolation at the Bachchan residence, but had to be admitted to hospital on July 17. Jaya Bachchan has tested negative for the virus.

Amitabh Bachchan refutes reports
Meanwhile, megastar Amitabh Bachchan on July 23 rubbished reports that he had tested negative for novel coronavirus and will be soon discharged from the hospital.
He had tested positive for coronavirus on July 11.
Rubbishing the media reports, the superstar took to Twitter to clarify that the news being broadcasted by a section of the media was “incorrect, irresponsible, fake and incorrigible lie”.
The senior Bachchan quoting the media reports tweeted: “.. this news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE !!”
After the Bachchan family tested positive for coronavirus, the BMC sanitised their bungalows. Their staff was also tested for the virus.
