Ahmedabad: Monsoon may have entered Gujarat, but its entry in Ahmedabad is still awaited. The wait is likely to end now with the Met department predicting that most parts of the state, including the district, will receive rain between June 16 and 20. While southwest monsoon had made an onset in South Gujarat a week ago, the district is yet to get its first seasonal showers.

The department added that there is likelihood of formation of trough with upper air circulation which will facilitate forward movement of monsoon this week.
Some parts of South Gujarat received rain on Monday. For Tuesday, the weather department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places in Surat, Dangs, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari districts in South Gujarat, besides Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. On Wednesday, along with South Gujarat, parts of Saurashtra too may receive rain.
