Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad airport shuttle bus service, that had been discontinued a while back, is all set to resume operations soon.
The decision was taken at a recent meeting between AMC officials and Ahmedabad airport authorities
In a tweet on Thursday, municipal commissioner Mukesh Kumar said, “Ahmedabad airport shuttle service to restart soon”.
The pick-up will be from the domestic arrival area while the drop-off will be near the domestic departure area.
All buses will be electric and air-conditioned.
Each bus will have 26 seats. The service will be operational from 6 am to 11 pm, with frequency of 30 minutes. The buses will ply between the airport and Iskcon crossroads.
The buses will have CCTV surveillance and will be enabled with passenger information system.
Payment can be done by cash, janmitra card or by other digital methods.
The service had first been introduced in June 2017, but was stopped in October 2018.
