Days after the Haryana Police made the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) team wait hours outside the resort in Manesar where Congress leader Sachin Pilot and his team were camped, the Congress in Rajasthan reiterated that it has the numbers to stay in power.
Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyavas told media that they had the number and that rebel MLAs who returned would be garlanded, but those who joined the BJP would not be forgiven by the people.
Govind Singh Dotasra, who replaced Pilot as the Rajasthan Congress chief said the BJP-ruled Haryana had helped rebel MLAs escape when Rajasthan Police came looking for them.
“Rajasthan SOG was made to wait by the BJP government’s Haryana Police until the MLAs inside the resort in Manesar were moved out through a secret door,” he said. He also questioned why the police in Haryana had to intervene if the BJP had nothing to hide.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and at least 18 MLAs have been in the resort in Manesar for almost a week now.
