Ahmedabad: Well-known Gujarati actor Arvind Rathod breathed his last after a heart attack. He was 80.
According to reports, Rathod had been ailing for a long time and had not been in touch with anyone. He had reportedly contracted Covid-19 and recovered from it, but continued to suffer post-Covid complications.
Rathod lived in Paldi area of Ahmedabad. His father was a tailor, but he was interested in acting. He had won several awards for acting and other activities in school and college. He started working in theatre.
Arvind Rathod was seen in Hindi films like Johny Uska Naam, Badnam Farishte, Kora Kagaz, Salam Memsaab, Agnipath, Khuda Gavah, besides Gujarati films like Bhadar Tara Vehta Pani, Sona Kansari, Mahasati Savitri, Ganga Sati, Maniyaro, Jagya tyarthi Savaar, Ma Khodal Taaro Khamkharo, etc
