After the AIMIM won seven seats from two wards of Jamalpur and Maktampura, party chief Assadduddin Owaisi said it won’t allow those in AMC to ignore the development of Muslim-dominated areas.
“If people sitting in the AMC feels just like earlier times they will neglect Muslim dominated areas then I am telling them that you might have played ‘Nura Kusti’ with Congress or other independent candidates but “aab Dangal Hoga’ – Mukabla karenge.”
He further thanked the voters who elected the party’s candidates.
“I pray before the Almighty for the well-being and safety of voters. We will try to fulfill all promises that have been made to the people. It is the responsibility of me and Sabir Kabliwala, state chief of AIMIM, to complete all promises given to the people in Gujarat,” Owaisi said.
He alleged that Congress had done nothing in the name of development. “We will try to bring development in those wards of the city which have been left out,” he said.
