The bogies of passenger train Coromandel Express derailed on Friday evening near Bahanaga railway station after it collided with a stationary goods train on the same track. Railway Ministry announced compensation

Describing the accident as unfortunate, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Rs 50,000 assistance would be provided to those injured in general.
PMO announces assistance
PM Modi has announced an assistance of Rs 2 lakh each for the victims of the Odisha train accident and Rs 50,000 for the injured passengers. PMO gave the information in a tweet. The PMO has shared a tweet in this regard. The next of kin of each of those killed in the train accident in Odisha will be given Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. Besides, 50 thousand rupees will be given to the injured.
Demand for resignation from Railway Minister
After the train accident, where political parties and politicians are expressing grief over the accident, on the other hand, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is seen badly surrounded by comments. Political parties have demanded his resignation. The ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal has demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister. Earlier, CPI MP Binoy Viswam had also said that the Railway Minister should resign immediately, taking responsibility for the accident.
