Eric Garcetti, US Ambassador to India, met Shah Rukh Khan at his residence ‘Mannat’ in Mumbai on Tuesday. During the meeting, both discussed about the impact of Bollywood on the world besides the Indian film industry. Garcetti himself shared this information on social media. He tweeted, “Is it time for my Bollywood debut? Had a lot of conversation with superstar Shah Rukh Khan at his ‘Mannat’ residence. Also discussed about the film industry in Mumbai and the enormous cultural impact of Hollywood and Bollywood across the world.”

It may be mentioned here that earlier, Garcetti visited Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, where he paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Meanwhile, he was also seen spinning the charkha in the ashram. It may be noted that foreign guests often visit and meet Shah Rukh Khan at his house Mannat. At the same time, King Khan also leaves no stone unturned in treating them with his hospitality.
After visiting Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, while talking to the media, said that more visas were granted to Indian students than any other country previous year. We will ask our personnel to concentrate only on student visa. We’ve reduced wait times by 60% compared to December. I think we can further reduce the waiting time for visa.
