The highly-anticipated 76th Cannes Film Festival will begin today, May 16 and conclude on May 27. The most popular and biggest names in cinema are converging at Cannes, France for the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Things kicked off with the official poster being installed at the at Palais des Festivals as jury president Ruben Östlund and this year’s jury gathered at the Hotel Martinez for the Opening night dinner.

The Festival will officially kick off with the world premiere of the Johnny Depp-starring film Jeanne Du Barry, which is the curtain raiser for the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, four Indian movies – Kennedy, Firebrand, Agra, Ishanou – have been selected to be screened in this year’s film festival edition.
Every year, numerous celebs from India attend the Cannes film festival and with immense pride, they represent the country. This year too, desi divas will be gracing the red carpet with their effervescence presence. After Anushka Sharma, Esha Gupta, now Bollywood’s youngest diva Sara Ali Khan is all set to make her debut at Cannes 2023 by walking on the red carpet at the 76th Film Festival. On May 15 night, Sara Ali Khan was spotted at the Mumbai airport as she left for Cannes.
Mrunal Thakur is also set to make her debut at the prestigious festival as a Grey Goose representative, reportedly. Mrunal Thakur will be at the French Riviera from May 17 t0 19. Mrunal said “I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. Talking about her debut at the prestigious event, Mrunal added, “I look forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer.”
Meanwhile, according to reports, singer Kumar Sanu’s daughter Shannon K will be making her debut, and content creator Dolly Singh will be seen as well.
