Talking to news agency ANI in Bengaluru, Amit Shah said, ” I have visited all the areas of Karnataka. The trend, enthusiasm and support towards BJP in all regions is huge as compared to last election. BJP will form the government in Karnataka with full majority. Our party has abolished 4% reservation for Muslims because it was unconstitutional. There is no provision of reservation on the basis of religion in our constitution. Congress had done reservation for Muslims under the policy of appeasement and we have removed it.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah added,” We have done reservation within the reservation very thoughtfully… We have set some limits in the reservation within the reservation of Scheduled Tribes. The Congress wants to remove it, but I want to make it clear that the reservation within the SC reservation will not be removed. All I want to say is that if you want to increase the Muslim reservation from 4% to 6%, the Congress should make it clear that whom they will reduce ? OBC, SC, ST, Lingayat or Voklinga, whose reservation will they reduce?
