For the eighth consecutive day 41 taluka of Gujarat experienced unseasonal rain. Perhaps, this might be the first such incident in the state in last two decades. Nakhtrana, in Kutch, received maximum rainfall of 2.5 inch while Upleta 1.5 inch and Kalawad recorded 1.4 inch rain.

Normal life was disrupted in Junagadh due to torrential rain yesterday afternoon. Junagadh recorded 1.5 to 2 inch of rain, water logged in many areas of the city. However, for Ahmedabad it was a comparatively hot day yesterday. While the sky was clear in North Gujarat yesterday. Meanwhile, there are reports of unseasonal rain today at isolated places, for ninth consecutive day Gujarat.
According to the forecast by the Meteorological Department (MD), there will be a few spells of rain in the state. Summer crop, especially the main mango crop, has been damaged. Besides, Junagadh and Mangrol, in Ghed Panthak due to heavy unseasonal rain the mango crop has been damaged extensively.
