First virtual court of Gujarat starts functioning in Ahmedabad: motorists under scanner through CCTVs

Now onwards be careful before breaching any traffic rule. First Virtual traffic court of Gujarat has started functioning in Ahmedabad. The traffic court will directly send you a memo in case of non payment of e-memo penalty amount for breach of traffic rule within three months.

One Nation One Challan project has been successfully coordinated with traffic police and RTO challans in Ahmedabad city. The notice will be sent to the mobile number of owner of the vehicle through SMS.

Traffic problem in Ahmedabad is worsening day by day. Earlier, motorists of the city were receiving e-memos for violation of only 3 traffic rules. Now e-memos will be sent at residential address of motorists in Ahmedabad city for violation of any of the 16 traffic rules. To keep vigil eye over the motorists around 2400 CCTVs have been installed at 130 traffic signals in the city.

Following set up of software and technology to collect fines and sending memos instantly for violating traffic rules through CCTV cameras under One Nation, One Challan Scheme, by Road Department of Union Government, every motorist and police will have to be vigilant.

The scheme has been implemented in Ahmedabad. If the vehicle, owned by person of other state, breached the rule, the fine memo will be sent to owner of the vehicle and fine will be recovered from him. The action is being taken to implement traffic rules more effectively and to speed up the process of delivering e-memo.
