Earlier, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that he will host the Quad Leaders Summit in Sydney on May 24 and will have the opportunity to work with the US, India and Japan as a partner.
The Quad will highlight opportunities to strengthen mutual partnership especially on climate, global health, infrastructure etc. The topmost priority of the Quad is to ensure a fair distribution of the priorities of the Indo-Pacific region. Hence there will be no discussion about the expansion of the Quad now.
