Today is the third day of dharna by Women wrestlers at Jantar Mantar. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, on Tuesday, issued notices to the Delhi government and others on a plea by the seven women wrestlers alleging non-registration of an FIR on their sexual harassment allegations against Singh, saying these are “serious allegations” requiring its consideration. The top court was initially of the view that the plea of the women wrestlers may be listed for hearing on Friday.

CJI DY Chandrachud has also issued a notice to the Delhi Police for not registering an FIR against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. On Monday, 7 women wrestlers gave an application to register an FIR against MP Brijbhushan Singh.
Talking to the media, Narendra Hooda, the lawyer of the protesting wrestlers, said that we have sought directions to file an FIR against the accused Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. Despite serious allegations in Delhi Police was not registering any FIR in this case. The apex court found the matter to be serious and issued a notice to the Delhi government and the Delhi Police seeking their reply.
Farmers from Sonepat support wrestlers
A batch of farmers from Sonepat has reached Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to support the wrestlers involved in this protest. Farmer leaders said they would not return from Delhi until the action has taken against the WFI chief.
On the allegations leveled by the wrestlers against himself, WFI chief and BJP MP Brijbhushan Singh said that the matter is before the Supreme Court and the court will take decision.
