Congress leaders are busy in campaigning for Karnataka assembly election. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has played emotional card. Karnataka former CM and senior leader Siddaramaiah said that after Karnataka assembly election he will leave electoral politics. Siddaramaiah was addressing a public rally in Varuna, Mysuru.

Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah filed his nomination for Varuna constituency at taluk panchayat office in Nanjangud of Mysuru district today where he was accompanied former minister H C Mahadevappa and others accompanied him.
Talking to the media after filing the nomination, he said that the Congress party is a secular party. We are not seeking votes on the basis of caste. We expect votes from all communities, including the Lingayat community. This (who will become the chief minister?) will be decided by the party.
Polls for 224 assembly seats in Karnataka will be held on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13. Congress has so far announced its 216 candidates. Congress has yet to announce candidates for remaining 8 seats.
Congress leader Jagadish Shettar, after filing his nomination, said, I have witnessed six elections, many people remain present during filing the nomination, but when I am filing nomination for the seventh time, it is a bigger procession than the previous six elections. And there is huge support from the people. In such a situation, we can understand the pulse of the people.
